To commemorate my new venture is my brand new Thermomix TM5! Yes, temptation got the better of me and I have just given myself the biggest excuse, I mean - reason to get it - a wedding present to myself!
Actually, I've been holding back the urge to get myself a KitchenAid food processor for eternity as it didn't quite fulfil my wishlist - it was missing the mixer function which I require as well. And no way I was gonna buy both processor and mixer as it would take a big chunk of my storage space. So … I waited.
And I can't believe it, as I was contemplating over the last few months if I should get the Thermomix, Vorwerk suddenly launched the new model! Gosh, I am so thankful that I waited. Currently, there are really frustrated customers out there who were disappointed with the stealth launch as they've just recently bought the new 'old' Thermomix TM31. Bugger, I would have been devastated as this is probably a once-in-a-decade purchase! Anyway, I was in no hurry so I slowly researched on it's functionality and found out that it has been 7 years since the last launch so it was a matter of time before the new model is out. And lucky me! I placed my order a week after TM5 was launched =)
So here's my new toy …
I have been really busy lately but I did manage to spend some time this weekend playing with it and made some delicious treats to familiarise myself. More on that later!
